The man behind The Workshop Leeds is Anthony Rouse, a qualified senior BMW technician with over 20 years experience within the main BMW dealer network. This is Anthony's story, covering his background, professional qualifications, experience and approach to customer service.
"I was born in South Africa and in 1994 I came to the UK, reversing the journey my father had taken 50 years earlier when he sailed to SA during the war and fell in love with the country. When I arrived in the UK I had already completed my BMW apprenticeship in Johannesburg and qualified as a BMW Technician in Cape Town. In the UK I gained my Senior Technician accreditation.
Originally, I came to Europe to travel but after an amazing trip round the continent in a classic VW Campervan, I decided to stay and make England my home. I've been here ever since and I love the British way of life - if not always the weather!
My first years with BMW were in Johannesburg and Cape Town, then in London and finally at Scotthall BMW in Leeds (now Stratstones), before I launched out on my own.
Complete customer satisfaction is fundamental to the way I work. My aim is to take care of your BMW to the standard you expect at a fair price. I will do what is needed to keep your car in prime condition but I will never tell you something needs doing when it doesn't. I will discuss the options with you and answer any questions you may have so you have all the information you need to help you decide how to proceed.

Meet the team
Our workshop manager is Matthew Gale, who was a great addition to the team when he joined us in 2017.
Matt is a fully trained and qualified technician. We have worked together in the past, so I know the quality of his work is excellent and his professional approach to customer service is exactly what we pride ourselves on. Matt particularly excels in all areas of diagnostics.
Since Matt joined us he has progressed from technician, to overseeing the day-to-day running of the workshop.

Dave Jardine is the newest member of the team, and is someone else I have worked with in the past.
Dave is a proud Kiwi, but has been based in Leeds for more than twenty years, and is another very experienced BMW technician.
Since he joined us, Dave has already become an integral member of the Workshop team.
Dave is an excellent all-round technician, with a particular focus on attention to detail and getting even the smallest details right.
